Ontario launches EOI system for PNP streams

Ontario

A new Expression of Interest (EOI) system has been opened in Ontario for the following two streams of Employer Job Offer Category of OINP:

  • Foreign Worker;
  • International Student.

How will it affect the future Ontario Immigrants?

Starting an EOI system means that unlike before when you could only register if the online portals for the OINP were open, you can now create a profile in this system without a time limitation.

Following your registration, you will be scored and ranked based on your answers, and enter a selection pool, from which Ontario will invite candidates to apply for nomination.

Having an EOI registration does not entitle you to an invitation to apply. If invited, you will be notified by OINP. Receiving an invitation does not guarantee your nomination, either. You must have all the requirements of the stream you are applying for.

From the date you register, your profile will remain valid for up to 12 months, or until you get an invitation. Otherwise, your EOI will be deleted automatically.

If you receive an invitation, you will have to pay the required fees when submitting your application. However, registration is free.

The scoring factors:

Ranking will be done based on your answers. Depending on which stream you have in mind, the scoring system will be different.

The scoring factors are:

  • Job offer: wage
  • Canadian work experience: length
  • Canadian work experience: NOC Skill Level
  • Canadian work experience: earnings history
