Work in Canada

Work

Apart from a few exceptions such as diplomats, religious leaders, news reporters, and referees,  almost everyone who is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada requires a work permit in order to  be able to work in the country.

Work Permit

Work permits in Canada are generally divided into two categories:  Open Work Permits and Employer-specific Work Permits.  Those who have an Open Work Permit can work in almost any profession, and  for almost any employer. However, Employer-specific work permits specify your employer and the occupation.
