Family Sponsorship

Citizens and permanent residents of Canada who are at least 18 years old  can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada and become permanent residents. The following are among those who could be sponsored:

• Their dependent children
• Their spouse/common-law partner
• Their parents/grandparents
• Their bothers/sisters/nieces/nephews (only if orphaned and under 18 years old)
